By most external measures you're doing okay. That's part of what makes this hard to raise.  The career is real, the responsibility is real, and from the outside the life strategy is working. But somewhere along the way, the returns diminished and you're starting to struggle.

Not everyone shows up to therapy with a tidy label for what's going on. Sometimes it's anxiety or depression. Sometimes it's a relationship that keeps hitting the same wall. Sometimes it's the particular flavor of exhaustion that comes from performing at a high level for years, a courtroom, a trading floor, a stage, and quietly wondering what it's all for. That's fine. You're in the right place.

What this actually looks like

We talk. I listen. Over time we start noticing the patterns underneath whatever brought you in: the ones that used to protect you and maybe don't anymore, the ones that show up in your relationships without you fully choosing them, the ones you've half-noticed but never had a real reason to look at directly.

I draw on psychoanalytic and behavioural approaches, depending on what's actually useful in the room rather than picking one and sticking to it out of loyalty. Some weeks that means digging into where a pattern came from. Other weeks it means a concrete tool for getting through Tuesday.

I spent years before this work in a courtroom, then running talent for a global investment bank — so if your work involves high stakes, long hours, or the specific strangeness of looking fine from the outside while something's not quite landing, that's territory I know first-hand as well as clinically.

A bit about how I work

I'm direct, but kind about it. If I notice something, I'll say so — gently, and usually with more curiosity than certainty. I think humour has a place here too. Therapy doesn't have to be solemn to be real. I live in Brooklyn with my husband, our two kids, and a dog who is, at best, ambivalent about self-reflection.

Austin is a joy to work with. He's so warm and easy to talk to that it sets the stage for therapy to organically take place.
